Guide to Dubai Nurse Registration












Dubai ranks as one of the most popular tourist destinations and this has impacted on their health care delivery system. Dubai ranks as the most populous city in the Emirati Kingdom.



As a result of huge numbers of tourists and an ever growing population, Dubai boasts a world class health care system and so there are huge opportunities job opportunities for nurses. However, international nurses must be registered with the Dubai Health Authority (DHA) before they can practice.

Dubai offers the following perks to attract qualified Nurses.

  • Travel allowance.
  • Free accomodation/ Housing allowance
  • Relocation bonus.

Eligibility criteria for registration include:

  • Completion of an accredited nursing and midwifery program with a minimum of three years training.
  • Have a current basic life support certificate.
  • Have at least two years post registration experience

Step one:

Scan the following documents.
  • Nursing certificate or diploma.
  • Transcripts from your nursing school.
  • Certificate of employment(must be stamped or signed).
  • Current nursing license from your home country.
  • International passport.
  • Police certificate.
  • Colored passport(white background).
  • Marriage certificate(where applicable).

Create an account here and upload the documents.

Step Two:

Download the authorization letter on the last page of your application. Complete it and upload it back to your account. You will be required to pay  an application fee of 210AED. You will receive an email after six weeks on the status of your application.

Step Three:
Successful applicants will be required to pay 724AED at this stage for credential evaluation.

Step Four:
Successful applicants will proceed to write a computer based test which costs 260AED. Test results are released within five working days after the test.

Step Four:

Successful applicants will be issued an eligibility letter following success in the prometric test. The letter is only valid for one year from the date of issue.
