Nurses who are trained outside the European Union (EU) or European Economic Area (EEA), must provide proof of English competence as part of the application.
Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI) only accepts IELTS Academic and IELTS Academic Test for UKVI as evidence.
The minumum acceptable scores are:
- Listening:6.5
- Reading: 6.5
- Writing: 7.0
- Speaking:7.0
- Overall: 7.0
