Register as a Midwife in the UK.







Midwifery in the UK, as with nursing is experiencing a severe shortage of personnel and the NMC UK is looking to international recruits to meet this shortfall.


To register, you must first meet English language requirements of 7 in each of the test bands. To find out more about English language requirements, click here

In addition applicants will be tested on both clinical and theoretical aspects of midwifery care.

Competencies assessed in the clinical aspect include antenatal care, intra natal care, postnatal and neonatal care.

On the other hand,competencies such as sex education, family planning, basic anatomy and physiology, basic virology, bacteriology and parasitology amongst others are competencies tested under theory.
